Hi there!
My name is Rhonda S. I’m a regular gal from White Plains, NY (Greenburgh for those who know!). For the past 10 years I’ve been living a pretty typical suburban life in northern Cincinnati – a house, 2 kids, a hubby and a job that I enjoyed (no dog though, I don’t do pets…). In the hustle and bustle of two jobs, managing our household, our church, and an endless schedule of kids’ activities, we had our daily challenges; but these were always outweighed by our blessings.
Then one day in August, my husband and I made a decision that was completely off script. We decided to follow a job opportunity for him in Guangzhou, China (yes…China!). This decision has setoff a series of transitions for our family – a new country for all of us, a new language to learn, a new school for the kids, a new role for me as a stay at home mom. It seemed as if there was a transition to go through, this move is putting us through it.
So we’re here in Guangzhou! Join me as I journal our experiences, struggles, challenges and joys through our life’s transitions.
